The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikhasevich paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Mikhasevich fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gills manages to avoid it.
Mikhasevich works the jab nicely.
Mikhasevich connects with a right hand. Gills shakes it off.
Mikhasevich lands a big head kick that sends Gills tumbling to the mat! Mikhasevich takes a step backwards and waves Gills back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Gills is rocked!
It looks like Peter Gills has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gills throws a combination that misses
and Mikhasevich counters with a big right hand! Oh Gills is in trouble here! Mikhasevich follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
