Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Nero La Croix (ranked 20446 p4p, 232 weight class) and Kusal Perera (ranked 21356 p4p, 161 weight class). La Croix comes to the ring accompanied by Ca Plane Pour Moi. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from La Croix. Those never looked like landing.
Perera looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Perera throws out a counter right but La Croix avoids it with no problem.
La Croix throws a leg kick which misses Perera's front leg but catches the back leg as Perera tries to avoid it.
Perera displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as La Croix throws out the jab.

and Perera counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Perera connects with a beautiful left hand that drops La Croix onto his butt! La Croix bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.
It looks like Nero La Croix has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
La Croix avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

La Croix lands a nice shot that snaps Perera's head back.

and La Croix counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Perera is lucky that one didn't land flush.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Having scored a knockdown, Kusal Perera should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2.

La Croix works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
La Croix takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

It seemed like Perera was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Nero La Croix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

La Croix is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and La Croix is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! La Croix is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Perera takes it!
