Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ken Miller (ranked 17031 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reginald Brooks (ranked 17131 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller comes to the cage accompanied by 2pac - Im A Souljah. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reginald Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks scores with a nice right hand.
Brooks slips under a jab from Miller.
Miller tries to move into range but Brooks moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Miller bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Brooks's head.
Brooks keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Miller. Those never looked like landing.
Brooks swinging wildly here.
Brooks blocks a low kick nicely.
Miller misses the shot to the body.
Brooks connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

and Miller counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Brooks thinking.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Miller takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Miller tries to clinch there but Brooks circles away.
Miller steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Brooks. That one must have hurt.

Miller swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Brooks wants to counter with a clinch but Miller pushes him away.
Miller swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brooks misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Brooks turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Miller looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Miller dips to his left and cracks Brooks with an uppercut!
Miller throws a leg kick but Brooks sees it coming and moves out of range.
Brooks tries to counter with a clinch but Miller shakes him off and moves away.
Brooks moves away from the strike by Miller.
Miller connects with a crisp jab.
Brooks takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A head kick misses from Miller.
Brooks looks to throw the jab but Miller is out of range.
Miller avoids the body shot from Brooks.
Miller is looking to counter punch.
Brooks pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Miller keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Brooks.
Miller was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Brooks throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Brooks just misses with a punch to the body.
Miller throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Reginald Brooks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Miller misses with a body kick.
Brooks throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Brooks connects with a leg kick. Miller looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

It looks like Ken Miller has been cut.
Brooks moves out of range as Miller strikes.
A left lands for Miller.
Brooks throws a jab but it's blocked by Miller.
Miller fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Miller takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nice body kick from Brooks.
Miller waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Brooks.

Brooks stuns Miller with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Miller tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brooks swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Miller decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Miller winds up and cracks Brooks with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Miller lands with a punch from half guard.
Brooks controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Brooks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Miller is working away from the top position though.
Miller is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Brooks is looking for a sweep. Miller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Brooks avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Miller.

Miller working over Brooks with some ground and pound. Brooks looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Miller wants to control but Brooks is keeping him busy.
Miller drops an elbow to the side of Brooks's head.
Miller trying to control from half guard but Brooks is working away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Brooks is looking to improve his position.

Miller is pressing down on Brooks's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brooks is holding on for now.
Brooks gets back to full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Brooks holds on and takes a little breather.
Brooks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ken Miller will probably get the nod.

Brooks misses with a wild body shot.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Miller.
Brooks will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Miller closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Miller lands in his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brooks is looking for a triangle but Miller pushes his legs off easily.
Miller stands and throws Brooks's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brooks is trying to control Miller's posture but Miller avoids it.
Miller is looking to take a break and control but Brooks is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Miller cracks Brooks with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Brooks is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Miller's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Brooks has his hands clasped together around Miller's back. He's all about the action.
Let's hope that Brooks has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brooks tries to roll over but Miller keeps him under control.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Miller closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Miller is trying to get an arm triangle but Brooks is defending well.

Reginald Brooks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Miller has hold of Brooks's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Brooks seems comfortable defending it but Miller has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Brooks is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Brooks is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Miller couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ken Miller!
Ken Miller bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
