Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lorenzo Morales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kurt Angle!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Angle bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Morales can't do much from the bottom here.
Angle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morales. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Morales is looking to regain half guard here but Angle keeps moving and retains side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Angle swings around for an armbar but Morales sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Angle's guard.

Angle has his foot on Morales's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Morales works his way back into a safe position though.

Angle avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Angle seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Angle must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Morales is on top in guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Angle holds on and takes a little breather.

Morales has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Angle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lorenzo Morales seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Angle changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Morales looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morales uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Angle has time to react.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Morales is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lorenzo Morales will probably get the nod.

I think Angle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
