Jack's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Legend of Billy Jack. Tim Cahill has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Billy Jack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tim Cahill!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cahill lands with a hook. Jack tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Billy Jack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jack closes the distance and clinches.
Jack has a couple of punches blocked by Cahill.
Cahill is trying to drag Jack to the mat but Jack just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jack scores with a shoulder strike.
Cahill misses with a hook to the ribs.
Cahill tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Jack misses with a punch to the body.

Cahill gets control of Jack's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cahill will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Jack stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cahill swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cahill had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jack defends it easily.
We've been hearing that Jack has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Cahill wants to control the position but Jack says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jack seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Jack winds up and cracks Cahill with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Jack passes to side control.
Jack lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cahill is trying to get back to half guard.
Jack is staying tight to Cahill's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Cahill tries to control but Jack manages to take his back.
Jack lands shots from the back.
Jack lands punches and elbows.
Jack lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Cahill is taking damage to the body and head.
Cahill trying to control the position but Jack manages to sink in the hooks.

Jack has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jack is punishing Cahill with some ground and pound.
Jack scores with strikes from the back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jack really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Cahill.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Can Cahill hold on?! Jack is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Cahill is still in real trouble! Can Jack finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jack scoring with big shots to the body. Cahill is looking for a way out. A despairing look towards the ref and the official steps in to stop the fight. Cahill was obviously done but didn't want to tap out.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Billy Jack!
Our winner, Billy Jack, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
