Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marlo Stanfield (ranked 2635 p4p, 296 weight class) and Marek Koltun (ranked 2568 p4p, 289 weight class). Stanfield kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Legendary. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marlo Stanfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 27 - 4, fighting out of Helsinki, Marek Koltun!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanfield lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Koltun circles away quickly and effectively.
Koltun gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Stanfield counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Koltun ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Koltun drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Stanfield defends it well.
Stanfield cracks Koltun with a right hand to the side of the head.
Stanfield lands with a good body shot.
Koltun tries for a takedown but Stanfield circles away easily
and Stanfield counters with a stiff right hand.
Danga de danga de dang - Stanfield scores with a four punch combination!
Stanfield ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Koltun moves away.
Koltun feints the counter takedown.
Stanfield takes a swing at Koltun's ribcage but misses.
A big left from Stanfield misses.
The crowd cheers as Stanfield lands an impressive looking overhand right. Koltun doesn't seem phased though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Koltun fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Stanfield to the ground. Koltun is now in Stanfield's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Koltun stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stanfield swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Koltun postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Koltun wants to control from the top but Stanfield keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Koltun wants to pass the guard but Stanfield is keeping the position.
Koltun is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Koltun in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Koltun trying to control the position from guard on top but Stanfield is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stanfield is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Koltun trying to move into half guard but instead Stanfield has managed to sweep!

Koltun working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stanfield doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stanfield manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Stanfield wants to stand but Koltun is controlling his posture from full guard.
Koltun pulls Stanfield in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stanfield decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Koltun, up you get!
Stanfield swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Koltun counters with a straight right hand.
Koltun shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stanfield as he jumps to the side.
Marlo Stanfield has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marek Koltun.

Stanfield fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Koltun doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Stanfield counters with a two punch combo.
Stanfield scores with a jab to the body.
Stanfield lands with an overhand left.
Koltun closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stanfield circles away.

Stanfield misses with a lunging right hand

and Koltun counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Stanfield!

Koltun is trying to pull guard but Stanfield has him pressed against the cage.
Koltun tries to pull guard but Stanfield won't allow it.
Stanfield prevents a takedown attempt there.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Koltun.
Koltun has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Stanfield after a bit of a struggle.
Koltun tries for a takedown but Stanfield manages to get underhooks.
Koltun is trying to drag Stanfield to the mat but Stanfield just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Stanfield lands a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Koltun misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Koltun moves forwards but Stanfield connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Koltun shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stanfield as he jumps to the side.
Koltun uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stanfield.
Marlo Stanfield is winning the standup battle so far.
Koltun shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Koltun takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Marlo Stanfield has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marek Koltun.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stanfield takes a swing at Koltun's ribcage but misses.
Stanfield lands a glancing blow to the side of Koltun's head.
Stanfield swings for the body but Koltun moves out of range.

Koltun shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stanfield is trying to defend but Koltun finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Stanfield stuns Koltun with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Koltun looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Stanfield lands the left hand.

Marlo Stanfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stanfield bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Koltun's head backwards.
Koltun is still on wobbly legs! Can Stanfield finish him?
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Koltun is defended easily by Stanfield.
Stanfield connects with a stiff jab that staggers Koltun - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
