Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lexington Steeled (ranked 25332 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Wazinsky (ranked 24682 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Lexington Steeled has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lexington Steeled!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Wazinsky!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steeled with a poor takedown

so Wazinsky counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Steeled could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wazinsky not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Wazinsky throws a strike but Steeled rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Steeled is fighting to break Wazinsky's control of his arms but Wazinsky is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wazinsky is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Steeled loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Wazinsky has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Steeled has passed into side control.
Wazinsky is trying to get back to his feet.
Steeled is looking to take a break and control but Wazinsky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wazinsky is trying to control Steeled's posture but Steeled avoids it.
Steeled wants to control but Wazinsky is keeping him busy.

Steeled goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Wazinsky has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Steeled but great work by Wazinsky.

Wazinsky stands up.
Steeled dives in for a single leg takedown but Wazinsky sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Steeled is defended easily by Wazinsky.

Horrible takedown attempt by Steeled or perhaps it was just good defense by Wazinsky, which made it look bad.

Steeled fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wazinsky avoids it really well and circles away.
Steeled is breathing heavily.

and Wazinsky counters with a nice double leg into side control. Steeled won't be happy with that.

Wazinsky is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Steeled has escaped the position, nice work there.

Wazinsky is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Steeled is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wazinsky looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wazinsky is putting a hurting on Steeled here, landing some big shots from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Wazinsky moves out of range as Steeled throws a body kick.
Wazinsky has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Wazinsky swats away the attempt to clinch by Steeled.
Steeled throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wazinsky's waist but Wazinsky gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Steeled off to one side.

Steeled fails to pull guard.
Wazinsky has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Steeled jumps guard but Wazinsky turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Steeled trying to stall but Wazinsky improves his position.

Wazinsky ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wazinsky no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Wazinsky has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Steeled is working away from the top position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wazinsky is looking for a sweep. Steeled is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Wazinsky slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Wazinsky bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Steeled's guard.

Wazinsky stands up and waves to Steeled to follow him.
Steeled wants to clinch.
Steeled throws a head kick that Wazinsky semi-blocks.

Wazinsky shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Steeled is trying to defend but Wazinsky finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Steeled has one foot on Wazinsky's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Wazinsky has Steeled up against the cage in a clinch.

Wazinsky jumps guard and drags Steeled to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wazinsky has control of Steeled's left arm, preventing Steeled from doing any damage.

Wazinsky is trying to stand up here but Steeled is controlling him well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wazinsky wants to get back to full guard but Steeled has mounted him!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Well, if Wazinsky is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Let's hope that Wazinsky has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well Wazinsky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
