Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deliruim Bipolar (ranked 7184 p4p, 556 weight class) and Ivan Blood (ranked 3885 p4p, 394 weight class). Ivan Blood has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ivan Blood!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blood lands with a shot to the body.

Blood connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bipolar's hands.
Good standup being displayed there by Blood as he connects with a hook.
Blood misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bipolar tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Blood manages to circle out of the way.
Blood digs a good hook to Bipolar's body.
Blood throws a body punch but Bipolar moves out of range.

and Blood makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Bipolar moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Ivan Blood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blood drops his shoulder and cracks Bipolar with a huge uppercut! Bipolar goes down! Can Blood finish him?

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Blood prevents Bipolar from getting back to his feet.
Oh Bipolar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bipolar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bipolar looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blood can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bipolar has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Blood is proving hard to escape from.

Bipolar is fighting to break Blood's control of his arms but Blood is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Blood looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bipolar puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Blood, as that shot connected.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Blood throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bipolar stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Blood darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Blood swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Blood lands a nice hook to Bipolar's body. Bipolar takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bipolar takes a jab right on the kisser.
Bipolar closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Blood cracks Bipolar with an uppercut from hell and Bipolar crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Blood's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Blood tries to score with some ground and pound. Bipolar controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Ivan Blood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Blood steps into range and cracks Bipolar with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Bipolar flops backwards and Blood dives into his guard looking to finish!

Blood postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Blood throws an elbow that misses. Bipolar uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Blood's guard. Nice move by Bipolar!

Blood seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Ivan Blood is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Bipolar decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Blood, up you get!
Blood stalks Bipolar and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bipolar's face. Bipolar staggers backwards, shaken.
Bipolar walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Blood wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Ivan Blood comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Blood has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
