Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Blitz (ranked 2658 p4p, 291 weight class) and Atanase Teodor (ranked 1682 p4p, 198 weight class). Teodor has chosen Pots and pans banging as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Blitz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Atanase Teodor!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Steve Montenegro and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blitz has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Teodor.
Horrible takedown attempt by Blitz or perhaps it was just good defense by Teodor, which made it look bad.
Blitz tries to clinch but Teodor moves out of range.

Blitz instigates a clinch.
Blitz is trying to pull guard but Teodor turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Teodor gets through Blitz's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Blitz breaks the clinch.
Blitz takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Blitz wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Blitz.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Teodor moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Teodor throws out a loose jab but Blitz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Blitz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Teodor but Teodor pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Teodor counters with a body kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Blitz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Teodor stuffs the takedown.
A little jabbing left from Teodor on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Blitz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Teodor defends well and Blitz ends up having to push Teodor into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Blitz tries to clinch but Teodor is having none of it.
A nice side step and Teodor releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Teodor buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Teodor tries a head kick but it misses.
Blitz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Teodor sprawls well. Teodor wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Blitz gets slowly back to his feet.
Blitz fails with the takedown
letting Teodor counter with a right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Teodor cracks Blitz with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Teodor has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Blitz to stand back up!

Blitz is rocked!

It looks like John Blitz has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Blitz finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Teodor's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Blitz falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Atanase Teodor!

In defeat, John Blitz stepped up to the mic, saying 'Have to train my wrestling'.
