Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor OMalley!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OMalley goes for a double leg but Bob avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Bob continues to drive forward.
OMalley checks a low kick from Bob.
Bob misses with a head kick.

and OMalley counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bob thinking.

Bob forces OMalley back against the ropes and clinches.
OMalley is trying to pull guard but Bob has him pressed against the ropes.

Silent Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conor OMalley.
Bob works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
OMalley is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.

Bob postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! OMalley is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bob, into his guard.

OMalley is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
OMalley wants to stand but Bob is controlling his posture from full guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Bob's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bob feints and as OMalley raises his hands in defense, Bob changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
OMalley wants to stand and escape but Bob is having none of it.
OMalley looking for a sweep. Not yet OMalley, not yet.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

OMalley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bob is one step ahead there.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
OMalley looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Bob bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
OMalley manages to work his way to half guard, despite Bob's best efforts.
OMalley is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Bob knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for OMalley on the ground.

Bob won't allow OMalley to get back to his feet.

Bob tries to free his leg and advance position but OMalley is retaining full guard.
OMalley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bob's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
OMalley might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bob haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
OMalley has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bob is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
A punch lands to the side of Bob 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Silent Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

OMalley sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
OMalley wants to control the pace but Bob is squirming around nicely.
OMalley throwing strikes here but Bob is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

OMalley tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
Bob is squirming around, avoiding OMalley's attempts to control the action.
Bob tries to reverse the position but OMalley maintains control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
OMalley wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
OMalley tries to control but Bob wriggling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Conor OMalley will probably get the nod.
That's time! Bob's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bob is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Bob.

Bob lying in OMalley's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. OMalley decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Bob taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
