Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cocky Palboa (ranked 4146 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Corbett (ranked 5611 p4p, 549 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Cocky Palboa has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Cocky Palboa seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corbett throws a sloppy body shot
letting Palboa counter with a right hand.
It looks like James Corbett has been cut.
Corbett shoots for a double leg takedown but Palboa sprawls well. He's pushed Corbett's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Palboa throws a big counter combination but Corbett scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Corbett gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Palboa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
No luck for Corbett with that takedown attempt.
Palboa appears to be looking for a big counter.
Cocky Palboa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Corbett.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Corbett takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Palboa counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Corbett thinking.

Palboa throws a big counter combination but Corbett scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Corbett has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Corbett there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Palboa makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Corbett looks winded!
Donk. Palboa catches Corbett right on the button with a cross.
Corbett walks into a left hand.
That has opened up James Corbett's cut even more.
Corbett doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Palboa counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Corbett gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Palboa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Palboa connects with a good right hand that stumbles Corbett. Corbett circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Palboa looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Palboa cracks Corbett with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Corbett looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Palboa finish him?
Corbett is rocked!

and Palboa counters with a big right hand! Oh Corbett is in trouble here! Palboa follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
