Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sarvatm Baijanthi (ranked 5584 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Vaughn (ranked 5658 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Henry Vaughn!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaughn gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Baijanthi counters by clinching up.
Baijanthi is trying to drag Vaughn to the mat but Vaughn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Vaughn looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Baijanthi has picked Vaughn up and slammed him! Vaughn can't keep hold of the triangle and Baijanthi manages to pass to side control!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Vaughn closes the distance and pushes Baijanthi back into the cage.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Vaughn has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Baijanthi clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Baijanthi is trying to stand back up.
Baijanthi is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Vaughn.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Let's hope that Vaughn has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Henry Vaughn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Vaughn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Baijanthi as he jumps to the side.
Baijanthi tries to counter by clinching up but Vaughn breaks away and moves out of range.

Vaughn ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Vaughn no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Vaughn wants to control the position but Baijanthi says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Vaughn moves into the clinch successfully.
Baijanthi misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Vaughn tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Baijanthi smiles and moves away.
Vaughn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Baijanthi swivels and escapes.
Sarvatm Baijanthi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Vaughn.

Vaughn moves into the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Vaughn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vaughn wants it to stay on the feet.
Baijanthi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vaughn pinned against the cage. Vaughn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee is keeping an eye on Vaughn - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Baijanthi drops down looking for an ankle pick but Vaughn pulls his leg out and moves away.
Baijanthi dives in and grabs Vaughn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vaughn pushes down on Baijanthi's head and hops out.
Vaughn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Baijanthi circles away.
As Vaughn tries to get set, Baijanthi tries to push him back and clinch up but Vaughn manages to avoid the attempt.

and Baijanthi counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Vaughn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Baijanthi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Vaughn closes the distance and clinches.
Baijanthi blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Baijanthi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Vaughn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Vaughn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vaughn shoots in looking for a takedown. Baijanthi tries to sprawl out of it but Vaughn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Baijanthi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Baijanthi throws a big counter combination but Vaughn scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Vaughn is trying hard to land a takedown here. Baijanthi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Vaughn dives in and grabs Baijanthi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Baijanthi pushes down on Vaughn's head and hops out.

Baijanthi gets tackled into the cage by Vaughn. Vaughn maintains the clinch.
Vaughn tries to pull guard but Baijanthi forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Baijanthi is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Vaughn to keep the fight standing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Vaughn is trying to force a seperation but Baijanthi has the dominant position.
Vaughn stops a takedown attempt from Baijanthi.

Henry Vaughn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Vaughn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
