Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Sigit (ranked 211 p4p, 34 weight class) and Chiku Maneno (ranked 115 p4p, 17 weight class). Sigit's entrance music is Gie. A fine choice. Chiku Maneno has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 39 - 23 - 2, fighting out of New York, The Sigit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 22 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chiku Maneno!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maneno swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

and Maneno counters with a straight right hand.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Maneno enables Sigit to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Maneno manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sigit is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Maneno can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
You get the feeling that Maneno really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Sigit has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

You get the feeling that Maneno really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Maneno breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sigit darts in looking for a takedown but Maneno gets double underhooks and turns Sigit into the cage.
Sigit takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Sigit tries to score a power double leg takedown but Maneno sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sigit somewhat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
