The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aires thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on DeSilva if he has to take too many more of those.
Aires throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Aires tries a head kick but it misses.
Aires swings widly with a right hand

and DeSilva counters with a takedown into side control.
Aires tries to escape but DeSilva is in control.
DeSilva trying to control the position but Aires is working away.
Aires wants to get back to his feet but DeSilva drags him back down.

DeSilva advances nicely into full mount.
DeSilva breaks from Aires's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Aires tries to hold on but DeSilva postures up.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, DeSilva cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
DeSilva is in the full mount, landing strikes.
DeSilva prevents Aires from getting the reversal.
DeSilva is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Aires can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Aires is rocked!

A big strike lands for DeSilva! That's really hurt Aires and he's turned his back - DeSilva keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! DeSilva jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
