Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Edgy Brah (ranked 629 p4p, 29 weight class) and Monday Blues (ranked 3052 p4p, 164 weight class). Brah's entrance music is Dropped by Smoke Serpent. A fine choice. Blues has chosen Chance The Rapper - Angels as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Brah.
Blues misses with a combination
and Blues takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Brah keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Blues misses with a body shot.
Brah shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Blues but Blues pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Brah misses with a head kick.
Blues is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Brah with a body shot.
Blues swings for the body but Brah moves out of range.
Brah misses with a looping right.
Brah has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Navy Street MMA in the buildup to the fight.
A big right from Blues misses.
Blues connects with a leg kick. Brah looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Brah looks to score with a jab to the body but Blues is just out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brah connects with the punch.
Monday Blues seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brah throws a right hand that Blues ducks under and follows up with a left that Blues also avoids with ease.
Brah misses with a hook. Blues ducked under it nicely.
Brah throws a jab but it's blocked by Blues.
Blues doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Brah tries to score with a low kick but Blues moves his leg out of the way.
Blues now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Blues cracks Brah with a good jab.
Brah throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Brah swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Blues counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Brah avoids the body shot from Blues.
Brah misses with a body shot.
Blues swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Brah misses the jab.

Blues has Brah up against the cage in a clinch.
Brah is trying to stall.
Blues misses with a punch to the body.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Blues.

Brah breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Brah fakes the leg kick and cracks Blues in the body.
Blues's jab looks to have found its range, popping Brah under the eye.
Blues just misses with a punch to the body.
Brah will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Brah shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Blues's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brah wants to control from the top but Blues keeps moving.
Blues is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Blues really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brah stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blues swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Brah lying in Blues's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Blues decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Brah taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

After winning the bout, Monday Blues thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
