The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angle tries for a takedown but Eagle circles away easily
and Eagle counters with a body kick that stops Angle in his tracks momentarily.

and Eagle cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Eagle counters with a stiff right hand.
Ice Eagle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt Angle.

and Eagle counters with a crisp one two that drops Angle! Eagle thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Angle to his feet! Angle is in big trouble!

Eagle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Angle on the ground.

Angle is working to tighten his grip on Eagle's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Eagle has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Angle is really squeezing tight and eventually Eagle passes out! Angle breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
