Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tiesto Turturro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Freeman!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Turturro drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Turturro is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Turturro wants to control from the top but Freeman keeps moving.

Freeman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Turturro can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Freeman working for a triangle but Turturro defends it easily.

Freeman has his foot on Turturro's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Turturro works his way back into a safe position though.
Turturro trying to control the position from guard on top but Freeman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Turturro drops back looking for a leg! Freeman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Freeman manages to kick Turturro off! Turturro jumps back into Freeman's guard.

Turturro is pushing down on Freeman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Freeman is fighting to maintain full guard but Turturro has managed to sneak the leg through.
Turturro seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Freeman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Freeman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Turturro pulls his head out easily.
Turturro is trying to control the action in half guard but Freeman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Turturro is working for a submission of some sort.

Turturro is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Freeman sees it coming and defends easily.
Turturro is looking to take a break and control but Freeman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Freeman looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Turturro works his foot free and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Freeman working to try and regain half guard.

Turturro is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Freeman is just riding it out for now. Turturro eventually gives up the hold.
Freeman is staying active underneath Turturro, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Turturro in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Freeman tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Turturro!
