Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vinnie Sixx (ranked 6678 p4p, 102 weight class) and Maikel Fortuyn (ranked 2390 p4p, 72 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sixx might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Fire of Power by WATAIN. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Fortuyn.
Fortuyn throws a right hand that Sixx ducks under and follows up with a left that Sixx also avoids with ease.
Fortuyn avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sixx lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fortuyn circles away quickly and effectively.
Fortuyn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sixx manages to avoid it.
Sixx throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fortuyn moves out of range as Sixx strikes.
Fortuyn has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Sixx steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fortuyn.
Sixx misses with a few strikes there.
Fortuyn slips a straight right by Sixx.
Fortuyn lands a head kick!
It looks like Vinnie Sixx has been cut.
No joy there for Sixx, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sixx dodges the punch combination from Fortuyn.
Fortuyn misses with a straight right.
Fortuyn throws a hook to the side of Sixx's head but Sixx sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sixx will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Vinnie Sixx seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sixx dodges the punch combination from Fortuyn.

Fortuyn throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sixx is looking to counter the offense by Fortuyn and move into the clinch.
Fortuyn ducks under a wild hook from Sixx.
Sixx gets tackled into the cage by Fortuyn. Fortuyn maintains the clinch.
Fortuyn managing to block the knees to the body from Sixx.
Fortuyn gets through Sixx's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Fortuyn misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Sixx's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sixx looks to land a right hand but Fortuyn moved out of range.
Fortuyn tries to clinch there but Sixx circles away.
Sixx lands a head shot.
Sixx shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Sixx throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fortuyn staying out of range there.
Sixx throws a jab when Fortuyn was well out of range.
Fortuyn takes a swing at Sixx's ribcage but misses.
Sixx throws a shot from downtown. Fortuyn moves away and avoids it.
Fortuyn tries to counter by closing the distance.
Fortuyn pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sixx back to the cage. Fortuyn follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fortuyn throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Sixx crashing down! Sixx tries to stagger back to his feet but Fortuyn just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Sixx asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maikel Fortuyn!
During a confident post fight interview, Maikel Fortuyn thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
