The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alatalo lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Borodin throws a poor cross that misses
and Alatalo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Aleksey Borodin has been cut.
Alatalo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Alatalo thuds a left hand into Borodin's body.
Mikko Alatalo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alatalo connects with a crisp jab.
Borodin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Borodin needs to keep his hands up - Alatalo had a free shot at his head there.
Alatalo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Borodin moves away.
Borodin on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Alatalo lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Borodin goes down and covers up as Alatalo starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
