Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Butler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Norman Pearson!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Fedor Mirinova and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butler keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pearson.
Pearson stuns Butler with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Butler fails with the takedown.
Pearson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Butler moves away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Butler.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Pearson.
Butler takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Pearson stuns Butler with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Butler tries for a takedown but Pearson circles away easily
and Pearson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Pearson has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Butler is landing a low percentage of strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Butler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Butler is breathing heavily.
Butler misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Butler dodges the punch combination from Pearson.
Butler wants to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Butler ducks under a wild hook from Pearson.
Pearson lands with a hook. Butler tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Butler tries to close the distance and clinch but Pearson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Butler shoots in but Pearson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Pearson thuds a left hand into Butler's body.
Butler fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Pearson throws a counter combo.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pearson, as that shot connected.
Pearson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Butler doesn't seem bothered though.
Butler is aggressively charging in as Pearson backs up avoiding any damage. Pearson tosses out a jab and Butler runs right into it face first! Butler is out cold! Pearson dropped down on all fours and is barking in Butler's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Norman Pearson!
Norman Pearson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
