The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dennis throws a lazy uppercut
and Day counters with a nice uppercut.
Day throws a quick inside leg kick.
Day sizes up Dennis with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Day misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dennis looks to throw the jab but Day is out of range.
Dennis looks to land a right hand but Day moved out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dennis , as that shot connected.

Dennis might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Day takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Day appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Day is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Dennis takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Dennis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dennis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Day sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Dennis closes the distance and clinches up with Day, looking for a takedown. Dennis pushes Day against the cage but Day circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
It looked like Day wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Dennis has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Dennis shoots in for a double leg but Day sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dennis takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Dennis seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Day shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Dennis is backing up but Day catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Dennis covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Day Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
