Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Manlio Marcone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Wright!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Marcone. Marcone obviously looking to wear him down.
Wright tries to score a power double leg takedown but Marcone sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wright somewhat.
Wright walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Wright fails with the takedown
and Marcone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Wright lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Marcone seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marcone lands a nice hook to Wright's body. Wright takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Marcone tries a head kick but it misses.
Wright gets a clinch.
Wright doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Wright escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wright misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wright fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Marcone, pushing him back against the cage.
Wright tries to pull guard but Marcone won't allow it.
Manlio Marcone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Wright.

Wright misses with the combination.

Marcone lands a nice hook to Wright's body. Wright takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Marcone blocks a leg kick.
Wright on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Marcone closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wright swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Marcone counters with a series of strikes. Wright will be more careful next time no doubt.
Marcone scores with a push kick.
Wright takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Wright looks winded!
Donk. Marcone catches Wright right on the button with a cross.
Wright takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Wright wants to clinch up but Marcone keeps it at a distance.
Marcone lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Wright goes for a double leg but Marcone avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Marcone continues to drive forward.
Marcone is looking to counter with head kicks.
Marcone smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Oooooh!!! Marcone has knocked Wright down with a huge combo! Marcone steps away and waves a wobbly Wright back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Wright is still on wobbly legs! Can Marcone finish him?
Marcone batters Wright with a massive right followed by a huge left! Wright is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Marcone lands a final crushing right hand to drop Wright to the mat with a gruesome thud! Marcone is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Manlio Marcone!
Manlio Marcone seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Alex Wright spoke after the fight, saying 'When I sign a contract, I really want to give 180%. And if I can't give that, it's just not fair to the promotion and it's not fair to the fans and it's not fair to myself'.
