Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Parnell Edwards (ranked 4140 p4p, 492 weight class) and Django Ripa (ranked 1241 p4p, 201 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ripa's choice of entrance music: American Woman. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ripa misses with a hook. Edwards ducked under it nicely.

Edwards lands a big head kick that sends Ripa tumbling to the mat! Edwards takes a step backwards and waves Ripa back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Django Ripa has been cut.
Ripa misses the shot to the body.
Edwards looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Edwards lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ripa is rocked!
We've been told by Edwards's head coaches at Compton that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ripa leaves his chin hanging out and Edwards seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Ripa crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
