Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tiesto Turturro!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Turturro drives through with a takedown into guard.

Turturro is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Ferri on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ferri tries to get out of the position.
Ferri is looking to stand up but Turturro isn't so interested in that idea.
Ferri keeping moving, preventing Turturro from controlling successfully.
Turturro pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ferri is keeping the position for now.
Turturro trying to control the position from guard on top but Ferri is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Turturro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ferri is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ferri has escaped and now he's on top!


Ferri got a little sloppy there for a moment and Turturro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ferri has managed to get both his arms back between Turturro's legs - danger averted.

Turturro had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ferri defends it easily.

Ferri seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Ferri seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Turturro uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ferri.

Ferri breaks the clinch.
Turturro dives in for a single leg takedown but Ferri sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Turturro is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ferri defends it well.
Ferri is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Turturro's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Turturro's back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Turturro drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ferri manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Turturro has Ferri in his guard.

Ferri tries to stand but Turturro is controlling from the bottom.

Turturro wants to sweep but no luck.
Turturro is breathing heavily.
Ferri is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Turturro is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Turturro has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Ferri has passed into side control.

Turturro tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ferri wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ferri tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Ferri remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Turturro is looking for a sweep.
Ferri wants to stand but Turturro has his arm trapped.
Turturro tries to buck Ferri off but Ferri is having none of it.
Turturro can't do much from the bottom here.

Ferri looks up at the clock and then as Turturro takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ferri smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Ferri in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Turturro is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
