The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sveinsson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

and Ronaldo counters with a single leg into guard. Sveinsson didn't expect that.

Sveinsson leaves Ronaldo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ronaldo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sveinsson can pounce on him.
Ronaldo sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Ronaldo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sveinsson connects with a leg kick. Ronaldo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Sveinsson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ronaldo is breathing heavily.

Sveinsson throws a monster overhand right that drops Ronaldo! Sveinsson follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
