Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shelby Nichols (ranked 24636 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Stensson (ranked 4825 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nichols looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Stensson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Stensson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Nichols has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Nichols!

Stensson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nichols is aware though and is defending well.

Stensson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nichols tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stensson is in Nichols's guard.
