Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stefan Albrecht (ranked 6824 p4p, 527 weight class) and Darren Jacks (ranked 3308 p4p, 339 weight class). Darren Jacks has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Albrecht defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jacks.
Jacks wants to land a leg kick but Albrecht is out of range.
Albrecht darts in looking for a takedown but Jacks gets double underhooks and turns Albrecht into the cage.
Jacks with the counter takedown but Albrecht avoids it easily.
Some bone on bone action there as Albrecht checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Jacks just misses with a punch to the body.

Jacks throws a right hand that Albrecht ducks under and follows up with a left that Albrecht also avoids with ease.
Albrecht shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jacks pinned against the cage. Jacks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Albrecht will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Albrecht throws a push kick but Jacks slaps the foot to one side.
Jacks steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Albrecht lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Jacks cracks Albrecht with a good jab.
Jacks lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Albrecht circles away quickly and effectively.
Albrecht half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Jacks goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Albrecht has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jacks but great work by Albrecht.
