Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kantu Wa Zarambo (ranked 4032 p4p, 480 weight class) and Phil Coleman (ranked 5520 p4p, 570 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kantu Wa Zarambo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Phil Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A leg kick checked by Zarambo.
Zarambo tries to counter with a takedown but Coleman is quick to defend against it.
Coleman tries to clinch up but Zarambo circles away and keeps his distance.

Coleman has managed to clinch.
Zarambo is working for takedown but Coleman is calmly controlling the position for now.
Zarambo prevents a takedown attempt there.
Zarambo wants a takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Coleman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Zarambo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Coleman.
Coleman doesn't manage to clinch there - Zarambo circles away.
Phil Coleman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Coleman finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Coleman pivots, looking for a leg kick but Zarambo is out of range and Coleman settles back down.
Zarambo tries to counter with a takedown but Coleman is quick to defend against it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Coleman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Coleman misses the shot to the body.
Zarambo feinted with a counter takedown.
Coleman tries to clinch but Zarambo is having none of it.
Zarambo appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Coleman misses with a body shot.
Zarambo drops down looking for a counter takedown but Coleman sprawls and moves away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Coleman misses with a straight left.
Zarambo half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Coleman tries to land a leg kick but Zarambo saw it coming and moves away.
Coleman pivots, looking for a leg kick but Zarambo is out of range and Coleman settles back down.
Zarambo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Zarambo attempts a counter takedown but Coleman avoids it well and moves away.
Coleman closes the distance and clinches up with Zarambo, looking for a takedown. Coleman pushes Zarambo against the cage but Zarambo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Zarambo appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Coleman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleman working over Zarambo with some ground and pound. Zarambo looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Zarambo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Zarambo on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Zarambo is trying to escape back to his feet but Coleman uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Coleman fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Coleman creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Zarambo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Coleman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

It looks like Coleman might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Zarambo looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Zarambo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Coleman trying to control the action but Zarambo is working from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Coleman cracks Zarambo with a big elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zarambo checks a leg kick.
Zarambo appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Coleman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Zarambo did well to prevent Coleman getting side control.
Zarambo is refusing to be controlled, as Coleman sits in half guard.
Coleman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Coleman scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Coleman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Zarambo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Zarambo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Coleman scores with a couple of nice shots.
Coleman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Phil Coleman has got the better of the ground game so far.
Coleman slips a nice elbow through Zarambo's hands, connecting with Zarambo's forehead.
Coleman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zarambo's head.
Zarambo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Coleman.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Coleman is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Zarambo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Coleman on the ground.

Coleman drops an elbow to the side of Zarambo's head.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Coleman connects with a nice short shot to Zarambo's temple.
Coleman looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Coleman winds up and cracks Zarambo with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Coleman drops an elbow to the side of Zarambo's head.
Coleman lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.


Zarambo is rocked!
Coleman looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Oh Zarambo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Coleman content to control rather than advance.
Coleman lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Zarambo! More strikes land and this one is all over! Coleman jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phil Coleman!
A very excited looking Phil Coleman rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
