It looks like John Smith has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Skrarski is looking to take a break and control but Smith is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Smith is pushing Skrarski's head away, looking to escape. Skrarski manages to hold on to the position though.

Smith parries the strikes from Skrarski easily there. Skrarski is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Smith to escape.

Skrarski swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Smith is now in Skrarski's guard. A big mistake from Skrarski there, giving up the dominant position!
Smith must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Smith wanted to stand there but Skrarski had control of the position.

Skrarski ducks right into an uppercut from Smith.
Skrarski's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Smith connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Skrarski scrambles back to his feet.

John Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fighters circle momentarily. Skrarski darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Smith throws a head kick but Skrarski moves out of range.
Skrarski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smith.

Skrarski gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Smith gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
