Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Landon Allen (ranked 24735 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Marcus (ranked 6438 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Landon Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marcus rushes Allen and presses him up against the cage.
Allen tries to land knees in the clinch but Marcus avoids the damage to the body.
Allen pushes off an throws an elbow but Marcus leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Marcus takes an elbow to the temple.

Marcus has hold of one of Allen's legs. Allen is fighting the takedown attempt but Marcus gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Marcus seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marcus slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Marcus scores with a couple of short elbows.
Marcus controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marcus tries for a kimura but Allen is defending well.
Marcus controls the position.

Marcus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Allen keeps working.
Marcus lands a few punches from side control.

Marcus decides to stand back up.
Allen avoids a kick to the body.

Marcus closes the distance and clinches.
Allen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Marcus just stands there and leans against the cage.

Marcus jumps guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Marcus is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marcus stays in close to Allen's body and controls the position.
Marcus wants to control from the top but Allen keeps moving.

Allen wriggles free and stands up.
Marcus misses with a takedown
and Allen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Marcus keeps the fight on the outside.
Marcus lands a big head kick that sends Allen to the canvas! Marcus follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
