The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvia lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Silvia really is a fat lump.
Silvia misses with a combination

and Freitas counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Freitas keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Silvia's head.

Silvia has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Freitas is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Silvia.
Silvia seems a little lost for a moment, as Freitas dominates the positioning.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Freitas is working to tighten his grip on Silvia's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Silvia has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Freitas is really squeezing tight and eventually Silvia passes out! Freitas breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
