Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Banana Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Blair Brown!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Man's hands.
Banana Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Man closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brown did well to prevent Man getting side control.
Man slows the pace down in half guard.

Man looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Man frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown has given up his back here. Will Man look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Brown rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Still in half guard, Man seems content to control.
Brown won't allow Man to pass to mount.
Man seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Man wants to pass to mount but Brown is defending the position.
Brown tries to get to full guard but Man has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Man is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brown defends it well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Man looking for a submission but Brown manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

Man thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Man is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brown defends it well.

Man is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brown is just riding it out for now. Man eventually gives up the hold.

Man is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brown doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Man.
Man tries to pass the half guard into mount. Brown knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Man keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Man seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Brown for as long as he can get away with.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Brown scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Brown stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brown wants it to stay on the feet.

Man jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Brown is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Brown and Man has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Man content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Brown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Man. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Man is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brown has escaped the position, nice work there.
Man is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brown can do to turn this around?

Man wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brown, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Brown scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Brown tests Man's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Donk. Brown catches Man right on the button with a cross.
Brown lands with a nice body punch.

Man shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Man showed some decent athleticism there.
Man is taking a breather. Brown says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Man's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Blair Brown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Man's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Brown connects with a body shot that sends Man's belly button to the back.
Brown connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Man throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brown was covering up waiting for the punch and Man finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Man stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brown gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Man is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Brown has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Man has hold of Brown's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Brown manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

And that's the end of the fight!
Banana Man showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Man has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
