Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lao Khang (ranked 4205 p4p, 441 weight class) and Mario Kovcic (ranked 6508 p4p, 534 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovcic fails with a takedown attempt.
Kovcic misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Khang definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Khang lands a jab to Kovcic's midsection.
Kovcic shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Khang defends it nicely.
Lao Khang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Kovcic.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khang swats away the attempt to clinch by Kovcic.
Khang feinted with a counter takedown.
Kovcic lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Khang circles away quickly and effectively.
Kovcic fails with the takedown.

Khang uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kovcic.

Kovcic closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Khang successfully pulls guard.
Kovcic trying to control the position from guard on top but Khang is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kovcic throwing strikes from guard but Khang blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Khang is on top in guard.

Kovcic looking to hit a scissor sweep but Khang is one step ahead there.
Khang stays in close to Kovcic's body and controls the position.

Khang is standing up over Kovcic. Kovcic looks to escape but Khang dives into side control.
Khang slows the pace down.
Kovcic tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Khang presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Kovcic wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Khang sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Kovcic taps out!
