Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Snow (ranked 1690 p4p, 256 weight class) and Pacer Dalton (ranked 2902 p4p, 395 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pacer Dalton!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dalton looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Snow wants to control but Dalton is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dalton wants to free his trapped foot but Snow is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snow flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Dalton looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Snow is looking to control Dalton's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Snow avoid being mounted?
Snow is looking for a sweep. Dalton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dalton has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Dalton gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Snow to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Snow has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dalton closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Snow quickly recovers to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Snow is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dalton is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Snow is trying to maintain the position but Dalton is very close to passing his half guard.

Snow tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Dalton's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Let's hope that Dalton has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Dalton bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Pacer Dalton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Dalton throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Snow was covering up waiting for the punch and Dalton finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Snow is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Snow seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dalton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dalton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Snow manages to get himself to full guard.

Snow thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Dalton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Snow swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dalton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Snow has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dalton has managed to get both his arms back between Snow's legs - danger averted.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pacer Dalton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dalton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
