The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trendall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dodson darts in trying to clinch
and Trendall counters with a nice uppercut.
Trendall shoots in but Dodson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Trendall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Trendall decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Trendall closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dodson did well to prevent Trendall getting side control.

Dodson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Trendall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
