Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alexander Galahath!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marlow avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Marlow pivots, looking for a leg kick but Galahath is out of range and Marlow settles back down.
Marlow fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Marlow has taken the fight to the clinch.
Marlow is looking for a takedown.
Galahath looking to slow down the pace here.
Marlow goes for a takedown in the clinch but Galahath prevents it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Galahath jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Marlow walks away with a smile on his face. Galahath gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Galahath tries to close the distance and clinch up but Marlow swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Marlow rushes Galahath and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Marlow has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Galahath uses from the top position.

Galahath is looking to work some ground and pound but Marlow has wrist control.
Galahath is working Marlow over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Galahath throws a strike but Marlow rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Marlow stops Galahath from standing up.
Marlow pushes down on Galahath's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Marlow is taking a breather. Galahath says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Galahath slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Marlow accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Marlow slips nicely into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Marlow in particular looking to stall.
Galahath wants to get back to full guard but Marlow has mounted him!
Marlow cracks Galahath with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Marlow tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Galahath tries to lock up and control but Marlow gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
BOOM! Marlow connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Marlow is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Galahath to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Galahath shrugs it off.
Galahath is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Marlow moves to the back.
Galahath looks winded!
The referee is taking a good look at Galahath as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Marlow !
Marlow has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Marlow has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Galahath has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Marlow gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Galahath tries to throw a body punch but Marlow avoids it by throwing Galahath back against the cage.
Marlow is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Marlow tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Galahath smiles and moves away.
Marlow misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gordon Marlow . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marlow closes the distance and clinches up with Galahath, looking for a takedown. Marlow pushes Galahath against the cage but Galahath circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gordon Marlow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marlow shoots in but Galahath avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Marlow moves into range and clinches up with Galahath.
Galahath lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Galahath lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Galahath escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Marlow with a lazy takedown attempt
and Galahath counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Marlow thinking.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Marlow shoots in for a double leg but Galahath sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Galahath throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Galahath clinches up with Marlow and pushes him back against the cage.

Galahath breaks the clinch.
Gordon Marlow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Marlow moves into the clinch.

Marlow pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Galahath moves into the clinch successfully.
This has been an exciting period of action!
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Galahath creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Galahath is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Marlow being controlled against the cage.
Marlow tries to pull guard but Galahath holds him up against the cage and eventually Marlow drops back down to his feet.
Marlow drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Galahath gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Still in the clinch, Galahath scores with a nice short uppercut.
Galahath swings wildly with an uppercut but Marlow uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A head punch on the inside from Galahath fails to land.
Marlow manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Marlow tries to pull guard but Galahath won't allow it.

Marlow drags the fight down to the ground.

Galahath stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Marlow has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Galahath manages to get his head free but now Marlow has transitioned to an armbar! Galahath grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Marlow ! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Gordon Marlow !
