PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Black (ranked 422 p4p, 51 weight class) and Kenuichio Harada (ranked 703 p4p, 87 weight class). Black comes into the arena with Manu Chao - Mr. Bobby blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Kenuichio Harada!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black throws a big shot that misses.
Black uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Harada has time to react.
Harada throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Matt Black has been cut.
Black has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Talu's Boxing Club in the buildup to the fight.
Black is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Harada.
Harada thinks about the counter body kick.
Black swings widly with a right hand
and Harada counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Black tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harada was well out of range. Poor timing from Black.
Black looks to throw the jab but Harada is out of range.
Black lands a slapping body shot.
Good shot there by Black.
Black throws a lazy right hand but Harada sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Harada tries to move into range but Black moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Black scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Black throws a jab but it's blocked by Harada.
Harada throws a front kick that sends Black stumbling back into the cage.
Harada throws a head kick but Black moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Black throws a jab when Harada was well out of range.
Black sets himself, and Harada steps forward looking for the clinch! Black avoids it this time.
Harada loads up on a big right hand but Black slips the punch.
Black feinted with a counter takedown.
Black thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kenuichio Harada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Black has closed the distance and engaged Harada in a clinch.
Harada misses with a punch to the body.
A hook to the body from Harada.
Black blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Harada digs a right hand underneath Black's ribcage. Black let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Harada tries a body shot but Black blocks it.
Black jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Harada walks away with a smile on his face. Black gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Harada steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Black.
Harada scores with the left hand. Black knows he should have avoided that one.
Black misses the jab.
Harada circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Black to the canvas! Black doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Harada keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
