The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rinaldi just misses with a punch to the body.
Rinaldi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Rinaldi lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Rinaldi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Romain.

Romain shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rinaldi pinned against the cage. Rinaldi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
It looked like Rinaldi was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Romain.

Romain tries to pull guard but Rinaldi forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Romain throws a right and a left that both miss.

Rinaldi takes a swing at Romain's ribcage but misses.
Rinaldi throws a solid leg kick but Romain takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rinaldi.

and Romain takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Romain fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rinaldi avoids it really well and circles away.

Romain tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rinaldi defends well and Romain ends up having to push Rinaldi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
It looked like Rinaldi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Romain throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Rinaldi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Romain closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Romain is pushing down on Rinaldi's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rinaldi is fighting to maintain full guard but Romain has managed to sneak the leg through.
Romain tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rinaldi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Rinaldi is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Romain has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook… has he got it?? YES! Rinaldi is tapping! This fight is all over!
