Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Caniel Dormier (ranked 4711 p4p, 337 weight class) and Robert Bruce (ranked 2867 p4p, 246 weight class). Robert Bruce has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Caniel Dormier's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Caniel Dormier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Bruce!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dormier walks into a stiff left hand from Bruce.
Dormier shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bruce as he jumps to the side.
Dormier fails with the takedown.
Dormier moves away from the strike by Bruce.
Dormier closes the distance and clinches up with Bruce, looking for a takedown. Dormier pushes Bruce against the cage but Bruce circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Caniel Dormier. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dormier shoots for a takedown but Bruce saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nice straight punches there by Bruce. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bruce.
Dormier changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bruce tries to avoid it but Dormier manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bruce to the ground. Bruce escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Robert Bruce showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Bruce has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
