Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Emerson Lynn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Theo Sullivan!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sullivan scores with a takedown into Lynn's guard.
Sullivan controls from within his opponent's guard.
Sullivan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Sullivan stopping the sweep attempt from Lynn.
Sullivan passes Lynn's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sullivan is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Lynn could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sullivan tries to control but Lynn wriggling away.

Sullivan is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lynn has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lynn!
Lynn throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sullivan will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lynn's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Sullivan wants to sweep but no luck.

Lynn postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sullivan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lynn, into his guard.

Sullivan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sullivan wants to control from the top but Lynn keeps moving.
Sullivan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sullivan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Lynn utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sullivan's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Lynn keeping moving, preventing Sullivan from controlling successfully.
Sullivan trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lynn's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lynn looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.


It looks like Emerson Lynn has been cut.
Theo Sullivan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sullivan closes the distance and clinches.

Sullivan breaks from the clinch.

Sullivan darts in and clinches Lynn up against the cage.

Lynn pulls guard effortlessly.
Sullivan postures up.
Sullivan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sullivan wants to control from the top but Lynn keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Theo Sullivan dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Emerson Lynn's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Sullivan has taken the fight to the clinch.

Sullivan breaks the clinch.
Sullivan stuffs the takedown.
Sullivan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Sullivan drives through and clinches with Lynn against the cage.
Lynn goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sullivan prevents it.
Lynn wants to take the fight to the mat but Sullivan manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emerson Lynn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sullivan is stalling here.
Lynn fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Sullivan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sullivan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lynn defends well and Sullivan ends up having to push Lynn into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
An attempted straight right counter from Lynn misses the target.
Sullivan throws a head kick but Lynn moves out of range.

Sullivan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lynn's guard.
Lynn looking to control but Sullivan passes into half guard.
Sullivan is taking a breather. Lynn says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Theo Sullivan has got the better of the ground game so far.
Sullivan looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Sullivan missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Sullivan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lynn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sullivan looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Sullivan lands a big elbow - Lynn is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Sullivan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Theo Sullivan!
