PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Javonte Torres (ranked 5855 p4p, 0 weight class) and Den Mark (ranked 5036 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Javonte Torres!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Den Mark!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres shoots in and drives through. Mark sprawls well.
A little jabbing left from Mark on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Torres drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mark is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mark content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mark is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Torres sees it coming and defends easily.
Torres wants to control but Mark is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Mark looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Torres is looking to control Mark's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Torres avoid being mounted?
Torres wants to get back to his feet.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Torres wants to clinch.
Torres closes the distance looking to clinch

and Mark counters with a takedown into side control.
Torres wants to get back to his feet but Mark is dominant here and he's now got Torres's back!

Mark biding his time, looking for the opening.
Mark avoiding Torres 's attempts to control his hands.
Mark controls the position.
It looks like Mark might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Mark working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Torres is doing well to defend. Mark seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Torres is forced to tap and this one is over!
