The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in but no luck this time.
Biggums doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.
Biggums scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Biggums looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johnson is fending him off so far but Biggums persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing.
Biggums throws a nice looking combination but Johnson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Johnson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

A little feinted left hand from Biggums on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

That's time! Biggums's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Biggums looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Johnson has hold of one of Biggums's legs. Biggums is fighting the takedown attempt but Johnson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daquan Biggums.
