The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters ducks under a wild hook from Eckhard.
Peters misses with a two punch combination.
Eckhard looks to land a left hand but Peters moved out of range nicely.
Peters wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Eckhard misses with an uppercut. Peters saw that one coming.

Eckhard looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Eckhard is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eckhard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peters swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Peters pulls Eckhard in close to his closed guard and prevents Eckhard from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eckhard stands and throws Peters's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Peters isn't going anywhere.
Eckhard trying to control the position but Peters is working away.

Eckhard looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Peters prevents Eckhard from improving position.
Peters can't do much from the bottom here.
Peters is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Eckhard is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Peters is trying to escape and Eckhard transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Peters is forced to tap! Nice work there by Eckhard! Very nice indeed!
