Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jones Bones (ranked 3376 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Marlow (ranked 3757 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jones Bones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gordon Marlow !
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bones fails with a takedown attempt.

Marlow gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Bones tries to pull guard but Marlow holds him up against the cage and eventually Bones drops back down to his feet.
Marlow has Bones pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bones manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bones tries to stall but Marlow uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Bones is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marlow is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bones is defending well.

Bones tries to pull guard but Marlow won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jones Bones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marlow digs a right hand underneath Bones's ribcage. Bones let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Marlow tries to break the clinch but Bones is controlling the position.
Marlow has Bones pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bones manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bones trying to control the position but instead, Marlow has worked for underhooks and has pushed Bones into the cage.
Bones can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.
Marlow tries to circle away but Bones has him pinned against the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bones manages to break the clinch.
Bones moves out of range as Marlow throws a body kick.
Marlow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Marlow scores with a shot to the body.
Bones shoots for a double leg takedown but Marlow sprawls well. He's pushed Bones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Marlow is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Bones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Marlow does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Bones seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Marlow moves into range and clinches up with Bones.

Marlow pulls Bones into guard.

Marlow has his foot on Bones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bones works his way back into a safe position though.

Marlow is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Marlow bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bones's guard.

Bones can't keep his opponent in guard - Marlow advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Marlow decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Bones blocks a head kick by Marlow .
Bones tries to clinch but Marlow moves out of range.
Marlow is looking for the big counter here.

Marlow shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bones wants to get back to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Marlow tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bones knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Bones clinches up against the cage.
Marlow has Bones pressed against the cage, preventing Bones from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
A frustrated look appears on Marlow 's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Bones is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Marlow pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Bones drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Marlow gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bones tries to pull guard but Marlow holds him up against the cage and eventually Bones drops back down to his feet.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Marlow passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Marlow tries for a kimura but Bones is defending well.
Bones is trying to control Marlow 's posture but Marlow avoids it.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Bones managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Marlow .
Marlow working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Marlow is staying tight to Bones's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Marlow goes for a double leg but Bones avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bones continues to drive forward.

Marlow moves into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bones tries to pull guard but Marlow won't allow it.
Marlow changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bones fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gordon Marlow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Bones wants to stand and escape but instead Marlow has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Marlow tries to score with some ground and pound. Bones controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Bones is trying to get back to half guard.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Bones looking for a sweep but Marlow has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Marlow lands a couple of good shots and Bones has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Marlow trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Bones doesn't escape.
Marlow is continuing to stall.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Marlow controlling the positon.

Marlow is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Bones has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bones is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Marlow has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Marlow controls the action.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gordon Marlow comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Marlow has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
