Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Shook Ones Pt II. Scott Keene has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with John Brown's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by Keene there.
Brown throws a head kick but Keene moves out of range.
Brown uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Keene.
Keene throws a jab but it's blocked by Brown.
Brown drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Nice uppercut lands for Keene. That snapped Brown's head back.
A swing and a miss from Keene.
We've been hearing reports that Brown has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Keene throws a shot from downtown. Brown moves away and avoids it.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brown is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
