PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cobweb Cooter (ranked 2051 p4p, 185 weight class) and Jerry Azumah (ranked 1543 p4p, 151 weight class). Cooter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Porch Honky. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azumah throws a right and a left that Cooter avoids nicely.

We've been hearing reports that Cooter has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Azumah felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Cooter goes for a double leg but Azumah avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Azumah continues to drive forward.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cobweb Cooter.
