The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cosgrove looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Massey!
Massey taking a bit of punishment here - Cosgrove scoring with strikes.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Massey wants to control but Cosgrove postures up.
Massey is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Cosgrove asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cosgrove tries for a kimura but Massey is defending well.

Cosgrove is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Massey knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Cosgrove decides to take the fight back to the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Massey drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Cosgrove preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Massey stands up and waves to Cosgrove to follow him.
Massey closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Massey throws out a powerful jab.

Cosgrove moves into range and clinches up with Massey.
Massey stalling in the clinch.

Cosgrove's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cosgrove tries to clinch but Massey is having none of it.
Massey closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Massey is rocked!

It looks like Elroy Massey has been cut.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Cosgrove engages and cracks Massey with a massive lead left hook - Massey tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Cosgrove is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
