Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Justice James (ranked 2090 p4p, 241 weight class) and Shukman Gill (ranked 23473 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by ... And Justice For All. Shukman Gill told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Paul Tew.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
James avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
James tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gill manages to circle out of the way.

James shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than James was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

James is looking to take a break and control but Gill is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

James drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gill looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gill looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gill!

Gill working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. James turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gill off and cradles James's limp body as Gill celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Shukman Gill!
