Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lapu Lapu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ivan Blood!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blood misses the shot to the body.
Lapu misses with a left hand
and Blood counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lapu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blood was well out of range. Poor timing from Lapu.
Lapu moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Lapu swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Blood counters with a crisp one two that drops Lapu! Blood thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lapu to his feet! Lapu is in big trouble!
Lapu is rocked!
Blood closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Lapu out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ivan Blood!
During a confident post fight interview, Ivan Blood thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
