Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jaro Lalla (ranked 2519 p4p, 125 weight class) and Richard Weed (ranked 6688 p4p, 219 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lalla.
Weed misses with a looping right.
Weed is looking to score with low kicks.
Weed is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lalla.
Lalla moves out of range as Weed strikes.

Weed has closed the distance and engaged Lalla in a clinch.
Lalla drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Weed gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Lalla has his foot on Weed's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Weed works his way back into a safe position though.

Lalla is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Weed is aware though and is defending well.
Weed wants to control from the top but Lalla keeps moving.

Lalla is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Lalla is looking for a kimura but Weed is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lalla to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Weed has his hands clasped together around Lalla's back. He's all about the action.

Lalla is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Weed defends it well.
Weed has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lalla is working away from the top position though.
Weed might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lalla haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lalla seems to be looking for submissions.

Lalla is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Weed doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lalla.

Lalla is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Weed is just riding it out for now. Lalla eventually gives up the hold.
